    Part of sustainability is about supporting and using those materials manufactured with similar sustainable actions and aspirations....The wood lampshades have been designed where no glue or screws are needed. The earrings and coasters are made from the waste that’s left over from the larger cuts.

    Supporting local has been a key part of Sharon Robinson Studio right from the start. Local economy is part of the sustainable model and this is something close to my heart. The wood lampshades, wood earrings and wood coasters are proudly New Zealand designed and made.

    The Planet is something that I have been deeply concerned about every since I was a little girl. I remember my geography teacher saying to my Mum when I was just leaving High School, that if the planet had her and me fighting for it, we would be okay. While that statement was far fetched, I remember feeling the realization of just how important the planet is to me, and how I wanted to tread as lightly on this earth as possible from a very young age.

    People. This is part of my Why. I love people, you fascinate me, frustrate me and offer me incredible opportunities to understand myself more and more. 

    We live in a world that is driven by people but obsessed with the material. We seem to forget that business happens for people, by people and because of people, not products.
