NZ Made - the cost of supporting local

Covid hightlighted a fantastic oppertunity which most of New Zealand embraced with passion and vigour. Supporting our local artists, manufacturers and businesses. And supporting small businesses. 

We have almost become immune to the "made in china" label. And this has been a wake up call, that there is amazing talented people who can contribute to our lives, while we contribute to theirs. 

The cost of supporting local is more on your pocket. We are limited by resources, higher costs of manufacture and better conditions for workers. All that adds dollars onto the products which we make. 

There is no way we can compete in price off shore production in countries that use sweet labour and massive production scales. We can however beat them with ethical labour, local ecconomy and supporting our communities. The cost of that will pay is back in bucket loads in ways that simply cannot be quatified.

So thank you New Zealand, for supporting New Zealand Made and choosing to support local.
