Supporting Local

supporting local new zealandSupporting local has been a key part of Sharon Robinson Studio right from the start.

Local economy is part of the sustainable model and this is something close to my heart, sustainable living, in all aspects.

So how do I support local at Sharon Robinson Studio. Well to start with all the businesses that I need to support the work that I do are all based in New Zealand. The packaging comes from a family run business is Tauranga, the plywood is sourced locally and the cutting down by a small family business here in Hamilton. The designs are done by me, located in Hamilton.

Having another small business, Smart Living Spaces, I knew that if I wanted to have people support me, I had to support them. And so right at the start I did my homework on who I could use and how we could work together.

So supporting local is key to my operation. Its been a foundational pillar in decisions that I have made along the way.

The wood lampshades, wood earrings and wood coasters are proudly New Zealand designed and made.

Supporting local is about supporting you, because when you support people, they want to support you.
